Overview

You are going to work with many customers over time, it's important to keep track of everything that makes them unique. Not all fields are required to get started with a new customer, so you decide what information is important to your business.

Customer fields

  • Name: Required. Save your customer's first and last name.

  • Phone: Optional. Send estimates, invoices, inspections and more through SMS                    text message.

  • Email: Optional. Send estimates, invoices, inspections and more through email.

  • Notes: Optional. For you to store any special notes or memos about this                              customer.

More customer fields

  • Company: Track the customer's company association, if applicable.

  • Referral Source: Track how your customer found your shop.

  • Fleet: If this customer is associated with a commercial fleet, any orders and vehicles can be rolled-up to a Fleet record.

  • Address, City, State, Zip Code: Track their physical location contact information.

Customer toggles

  • Is this customer tax exempt? Enable this toggle to exempt this customer from taxes. Upon adding this customer to an estimate, any default tax amounts on services are removed.

  • Does this customer receive a discount? Enable this toggle to apply a discount by default to this customer's services (e.g. family, long-time customer)

  • Does this customer have a labor rate override? Enable this toggle to apply a specific labor rate to this customer. You can apply any labor rate you have created.

  • Does this customer have a pricing matrix override? Enable this toggle to apply a specific pricing matrix to this customer. You can apply any pricing matrix you have created.
