Authorize Services
After creating an estimate, the customer can approve or decline individual services before the shop performs the work. By offering authorization for each service, you can upsell additional work by suggesting recommended services.
Send the estimate to the customer for authorization or authorize the services yourself in the shop when you receive verbal authorization from the customer.
Authorization by the Customer
When you send an estimate to the customer, you have the option to request authorization from the customer and request an e-signature.
Request Authorization: Allow customers to authorize the estimate and work to be done
Request E-signature: Allow customers to electronically-sign when authorizing estimates
When your customer receives the estimate, they can review and authorize each of the services. They can view details of each service (if applicable) by selecting the arrow to the left of the service and can authorize the service by selecting the checkbox to the right of the service.
When the customer has selected which services they’d like to approve or decline, they should select the Authorize Service(s) button and review their authorization before confirming.

Authorization by the Shop
The shop also has the ability to authorize services. This is helpful if the customer is physically in the shop or if they give authorization via phone, SMS, or email.
On the right-side panel of the estimate, select the Authorizations tab and Authorize.
Approve or decline each service, and select the method in which the customer has authorized the services. Select Save.
The authorization status will be updated on the right-side panel, as well as on each service in the estimate.

Authorization Settings
Select the Settings icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Select General Settings under the Settings section on the left-hand side.
Find the Customer Authorization section. Toggle on to reset authorization when the service price increases. When on, service authorizations will automatically be reset if the price of a service increases. Any previous authorizations and signatures will be maintained in the order's authorization history.
