Connect Your Google Business Profile
To view and respond to all of your Google Reviews inside Shopmonkey, you’ll need to connect your Google Business Profile.
Please Note: Shops are required to have a Google Business Profile account in order to connect to Shopmonkey Reviews Manager.
Select the Marketing icon on the left-side navigation bar. Select Review Manager.
Select Sign in with Google and use your Google Business Profile credentials to connect your account to Shopmonkey.
If you have multiple locations associated with your Google Business Profile, select the location that you’d like to connect to Shopmonkey.
Once connected, you can view and respond to your Google Reviews on the Reviews Manager page in Shopmonkey. Please allow a few minutes to connect while Shopmonkey pulls in all of your Google reviews.
View and Respond to Google Reviews
View key review info including overall shop rating, open rate, and number of total reviews.
View your shop’s Google Reviews and respond directly to customer reviews on the Reviews tab. Use an AI Suggested Response to reply directly to customers.
Select Edit to make changes to the suggested review response before posting. This is not a direct message to the customer. All review responses sent through Shopmonkey will be posted on your Google Business Profile and will be public for anyone reading your reviews. In addition, this will notify your customer that the shop responded to their review.
Make any changes you'd like to the review response and select Send.
To make changes to your shop’s response after it’s already been posted, select the … ellipsis to Edit or Delete the shop’s review response.
Reviews Manager Settings
Select the Settings tab to edit review request settings in your shop.
Review Requests
Select the dropdown to choose your shop settings for Review Request Trigger and When To Send.
Review Request Trigger: Select which action in Shopmonkey will trigger sending a review request for an order – when an order is archived, when an order is invoiced, or when payment is collected
When To Send: Select how long after the Review Request Trigger you’d like the review request sent to the customer – immediately, in 24 hours, in 48 hours, or in 3 days from the time of the Review Request Trigger
This will set the default When To Send setting, but you can always change this for a specific customer review (check out the Request a Customer Review example below)
Review Request Message
Edit the subject line and the message your customer sees when they receive a review request from your shop.
Google Business Profile & Location (if applicable)
If you have multiple locations associated with your Google Business Profile, select which location is associated with this shop from the dropdown.
Request a Customer Review
Please Note: In this example, the Review Request Trigger is set to when an order is invoiced.
💡 Review requests will be sent to your customer's preferred contact method(s), including SMS, email, or both. If a customer does not have a preferred contact method saved, a review request cannot be sent to that customer.
Open the estimate you’d like to convert to an invoice and request a customer review. On the right-side panel, select Convert to Invoice.
Toggle on or off the review request. When to Send will default to the settings you chose. Select the time dropdown to change when this specific review request will be sent to the customer. Select Convert to Invoice.
Please Note: Google only allows a single customer to leave one review for a shop per Google account. At this time, Shopmonkey does not prevent the same customer from being asked for a review more than once.
