Scan and record the TIN/DOT for tires sold in your shop

Use the camera function in the Shopmonkey for Techs 2.0 Mobile App to scan the TIN or record the TIN manually to maintain records of the tires sold in your shop.

TIN Scanning

Add a tire line item to an order created in your shop.

Open up the order containing the tire line item in your Shopmonkey for Techs 2.0 Mobile App. Select the tire line item and select the scanner icon. Hold the device so that the camera is directed at the TIN on the tire.

Once successfully scanned, the TIN will then be recorded on the tire line item.

Update the quantity of tires on the tire line item to scan more than one TIN.

Manually Enter TINs

Within the Shopmonkey web application, you can also manually enter the TIN(s) on an order. Select the Tire line item on an order. Update the quantity of tires on the tire line item to scan more than one TIN.

On the right-side panel, find the Tire Identification Numbers section of the Entire Tire Information menu. Manually enter the TIN(s) for any tires sold on this order.

Tire Identification Number Report

Once the order is invoiced, the information will populate on the Tire Identification Number report. Check out the Tire Identification Report section of the Parts & Line Items Sold Reports article to learn more.
