Process in-person and online card payments using a Shopmonkey Payments WisePOS E card reader. The WisePOS E card reader allows customers to pay via chip and swipe cards, such as VISA and Mastercard, along with contactless payment methods such as Apple Pay, all facilitated within Shopmonkey for a smart, simple, and integrated solution.

Order the WisePOS E Card Reader
Select the Settings icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. Select Payments under the Settings section on the left-hand side.
Select the Readers tab on the Payments page.
Select Order More in the Ordering Readers section.
Review the details of the card reader. Select Order Now.
WisePOS E Card Reader Set-Up
Please Note: You must have access to your internet router in order to set up the card reader.
Your WisePOS E card reader shipment includes three key components.

Step 1
Remove the backing plate from the reader by lifting the backing plate from the bottom left corner.
Step 2
Take the battery out of the box. Insert the battery in the card reader with the bottom notch facing upward. Reinstall the backing plate.
Step 3
Plug in your power cable to a nearby USB outlet. Hold down the power button to power the card reader.
Step 4
Connect the card reader to the router through Wi-Fi.
Please Note: The reader must be connected to the same local network as your devices running Shopmonkey.
To connect to the internet using WiFi, follow the on-screen prompts. Select the network name and enter your network password. Once connected, your card reader may ask you to update the device. Select Update.
Step 5
After connecting and updating (this may take a few minutes), the bootup screen will finish loading. Your display will look similar to the image below.
Once you see this screen, you can connect the reader to Shopmonkey.
Connect the WisePOS E Card Reader to Shopmonkey
Your reader must be connected to Shopmonkey before it can be used in your shop. To connect a card reader to your shop, please go back to the Payments settings page. Select the Readers tab.
Select Register a Reader.
Please Note: The reader must be on and connected to the internet to register the reader. If you have disconnected your reader, follow the steps above to reconnect.
Give your reader a name and enter the Registration Code.
Follow these steps to get the Registration Code:
Make sure the reader is on and connected to the internet.
Open Settings by swiping right on the left edge of the reader.
Tap Settings and enter the admin PIN.
Tap on Generate Pairing Code.
The code will look something like this: caramel-frog-earned.
Select Register. Once you see that your reader is connected to Shopmonkey, your reader is ready to take in-person payments at your shop.
