Pricing matrices enable you to automatically set your parts markup and margin percentages by cost ranges, so you can maximize your profit while saving time.
The pricing matrix calculates the retail price of an item by taking the cost of an item and then marking up or adding a margin (whichever approach you prefer) based on your defined matrix ranges.
Create a Pricing Matrix
Select the Settings icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Select Pricing Matrices under the Settings section on the left-hand side.
Select + New Matrix in the top right corner to create a new pricing matrix.
Customize your pricing matrix by adding ranges and adjusting the markup and margin for each price range. Be sure to give your new matrix a title.
To set a pricing matrix as your default, select the star icon.
Apply a Pricing Matrix to a Service
From within an estimate, select a part line item to verify or change which pricing matrix is applied to that part.
In the Enter Part Information menu on the right-side panel, click the dropdown to select the pricing matrix you’d like to apply to that part.
Please Note: Any updates made to a Pricing Matrix in General Settings will not update any applicable parts already included in a service. From within the estimate, click on the part line item. Select the Update to Latest prompt in the Enter Part Information menu to update pricing.
Add a Pricing Override for Specific Customers and Fleets
Set a unique pricing matrix for each customer or fleet to override the default pricing. Adding the customer to an estimate automatically applies their pricing matrix and overrides any other pricing matrices.
Select the customer you’d like to add a pricing matrix override to in your customer list.
Select Customer Info to view pricing customization for this specific customer.
Toggle on “Does this customer have a pricing override?” to select the appropriate pricing matrix you would like applied to this customer.
Please Note: To add a pricing matrix override to a Fleet, select the ... ellipsis next to the fleet you want to edit to open the Fleet Info menu. From here, you will find the same pricing customization toggles.
