Inventory

You’ll find your tires in Shopmonkey Inventory next to your parts, labor, and other Inventory items. For Information on your Shopmonkey Inventory check out this help article.

To find your list of tires, go to Inventory and click on the Tires tab. You’ll see a list of all tires in your shop.

At the top of the list, you can click on the search bar and start typing to find the specific tire you’re looking for. You’ll also be able to filter your tires list by category. Just click the Add Filters button and select Category, then select the category you want to filter your list by. You can add or remove columns in the list by using the column dropdown on the top right and unchecking and checking the columns to show only the ones you want.

You can also export your list of tires using the Export button. This will download the list in a .xlsx format so you can use it in another application and open the spreadsheet to make edits.

New Tire

To add a new tire from the Tires tab just click the Add Tire button on the top right. This will open the New Tire window. From here, you can select or add a new Brand, Model, and Vendor. These are all required fields and must be included to save the new tire. You can also add the tire category and season before moving on to the tire size.

New Tire Size

To add a new size click the Add Size button below the general tire information. This will take you to the New Size window where you can start by typing in the size of the tire. With the correct size added Shopmonkey will process it and extract the Tire Specs. Add a new size whenever the Brand, Model, and Vendor for the tire is the same and only the size of the tire is different. Doing this will prevent you from having to create brand new tires each time there is a size change.

Tire Specs

From the tire Size window, the Tire Specs tab will show you all of the details for the tire with the information below.

Basic Info

  • Category

  • Construction

  • Load Index

  • Load Range

  • Outer Diameter

  • Sidewall Aspect

  • Section Width

  • Service Type

  • Speed Rating

  • Tread Depth

  • Wheel Diameter

Uniform Tire Quality Grading (UTGQ)

As mentioned above, when the size is added, Shopmonkey will process and update the Basic Info. Alternatively, you can enter the Basic Info first and the tire size will be created.

Inventory & Pricing

On the Inventory & Pricing tab you can enter in the Part Number and Bin location, update the quantity on hand and Critical Quantity, as well as update the pricing information. In addition to adding the cost and retail price of the tire, you can also set a specific Pricing Matrix. For more information on Pricing Matrices check out our help article.

Other options are available at the bottom for Tax exemption and what should be displayed on estimates and invoices.

When all of the information is added, click the Save button. If you try to leave the window without saving, a message will appear asking if you want to discard the changes you’ve just made.

Inventory Activity Tracking Tires

You can view the activity history for your tires by clicking the clock icon that the top of the page. Each time a change is made to your tire it will be recorded. You can view all changes from the Activity list and from the Timeline tab. For more information on the Timeline tab check out our inventory help article.

Upload Inventory

You can also upload tires using an import template. You can find more information on import templates in our help article. A great feature of uploading tires is the ability to process the tire size, so just like adding a tire through the Add Tires button, adding only the tire size to an import template will extract the Tire Specs. Also, if just the Basic Info is added (eg. Section Width, Sidewall Aspect, etc) then the tire size can be created.

Edit or Delete

To edit any information on the tire, just click on Model or Size in the list. Then make any changes and click the Save button.

To Delete a tire, just click the checkbox and the red delete button will appear. Click the delete button to remove the tire from the list.

Note: Deleted tires will show in your Deleted Items. For more information on Deleted Items check out our help article.
